Ambewela Farm has located 14 km from Nuwara Eliya. After traveling 11 km on the road from Nuwara Eliya to Horton Plains, you will come across a New Zealand farm about 3 km on the road to the right near the Ambewela Railway Station.

Situated at an altitude of 1848 m above sea level, the grasslands grow well due to its ecological features, making one of the largest grasslands above sea level in Sri Lanka. Established in 1960, the farm was renamed the “New Zealand Farm” because it received support and cattle from New Zealand.
