Balathoduwa, another popular peak, is also located close to Gommolli Kanda. Bambarakanda Falls, the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka is also located close to Gommolli Kanda. It takes a whole day to climb this mountain. But if you have about 2 days, you can climb the nearest Balathoduwa Kanda. Mount Gommolli is located in the Ohiya region, bordering the Badulla area and very close to the Belihuloya.

This mountain has a very mild and beautiful climate like Kashmir in India. The natural beauty of this mountain is well suited for photography. The other important thing is to avoid the rainy season when going to climb this mountain. Also, it is better to carry water.

Kirigalpotta, Thotupala Kanda, and Haggala Kanda are the other mountains that are close to Gommolli Kanda.
