Belihul Oya, Ella Rock, Knuckles Mountain Range, Little Adam’s Peak, Horton Plains, Memure, Pidurangala, Adam’s Peak, Ohiya, Sinharaja Rain Forest The beautiful area of Haputale and Diyatalawa, located in the hill country of Sri Lanka, provides a base from which to try out a wide variety of hiking and trekking tours through the jungle, across tea estates, and up mountains. The enigmatic Horton Plains National Park, characterized by beautiful forests and wide grasslands and located close to Belihuloya, offers some excellent hikes in a very unique environment. Nuwara Eliya, immensely beautiful & picturesque terrain is also great for hiking and trekking. When you visit Kandy, don’t miss out on exploring the beautiful Knuckles Mountain Range. The region stretches an impressive 155 sq km, with five major forest formations, a wide variety of rare and endemic flora and fauna, and some breathtaking mountain scenery. It is a real paradise for hikers, offering numerous trails that journey across clear rivers, through dense forests, past flowing waterfalls and lush tea plantations, and alongside terraced paddy fields and colorful home gardens.  A trekking tour in Sri Lanka wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the fascinating Sinharaja Rain Forest where a variety of trails can be tailor-made to meet the specific interests of the group.

When planning your trekking or hiking you need to focus your attention on the following things because if you are not aware of that it may ruin your whole trek or hike. Normally Sri Lanka boasts a good climate for traveling throughout the year but the monsoonal rains may affect your tour to some extent.
