Honey Bee

Honey Bee

The forest is the heart of a quiet environment. The service rendered by this is priceless. The environment provides every need of the forest and reproduction is essential in maintaining this chain. Plant reproduction helps maintain the balance of the environment and bees help in this process by pollinating flowers. The flowers that add beauty to the forest also provide food for the bees. Apis Cerana, Apis Dorsata, Apis mellifera, Apis Floria, Apis Andreniformis, Apis Koschevnikov, and Apis Laborisa are the varieties of bees that make honey.

Bee honey is a very valuable and natural substance known to mankind since ancient times. There is nothing like the incredible efficiency of the honey industry anywhere in the world except man. Every bee can do a special job in the bee comb and the whole process runs smoothly. Bee honey is used in the treatment of various ailments and as a popular home remedy. Stress/fatigue, Weakness, Sleep disturbance, Eyesight, Teething pain, Sore throat, Sore throat, and vomiting are some diseases that you can be cured with bee honey. Andals Honey and beeswax are used in the beauty industry as a skin moisturizer, softener and to heal the skin tissue.

Honey bee’s life cycle

Life in a honey colony is perennial. There are three castes of honey bees: queens, which produce eggs; drones or males which mate with new queens; and workers, which are non-reproducing females. The queen lays her eggs in the cells of the comb alone. The larvae lay eggs in three or four days. They are then fed by worker bees and grow through several stages in the cells. As the larvae grow, the cells are covered by worker bees. A colony can usually consist of tens of thousands of bees. Growth from eggs to emerging bees varies between queens, workers, and drones. The average lifespan of a queen is three or four years. Drones die from mating.

Formation of bee’s honey

Bees produce honey by adding sugar-rich nectar from flowers, which is a clear liquid containing almost 80% water and complex sugars. During the busiest period, bees often ingest and reactivate honey until their ‘honey stomach’ is partially digested. They continue this process until the product reaches the desired quality. After the final resurrection, the honeycomb was not sealed. Semi-processed raw honey is still high in water and causes natural yeast to ferment without being tested. Raw honey is stored in honeycomb cells for drying. During the busiest period, the bees spread their wings and increase the evaporation of about 80% of the water from the raw honey, creating a strong draft through the hive. Once dry, the honeycomb cells are sealed with wax to protect the honey. Ripe honey, as removed from the hive by a beekeeper, has a longer shelf life and will not ferment if properly sealed.

Extraction of bee’s honey

There are two ways to extract the bee’s honey. The traditional method is to calm or repel the bees by introducing smoke into the hive. When the bees are gone or completely calm, the combs are taken out and the honey is squeezed out. The other method is to use mechanical honey extract. This extracts honey without destroying the comb.
The extract works by centrifugal force. Place the frame basket in a bowl, rotate and throw out the honey. With this method, the wax comb remains intact in the frame and can be reused by the bees.
