Lotus tower is the newest, attractive, and most beautiful tower in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is a 356 m (1,168 ft) tall and covers 30,600 m^2 (329,000 sq ft) of floor area. It also represents Sri Lanka’s symbolic landmark. As of 16th September 2019, the tower was the tallest freestanding structure in South Asia. It is also the second tallest structure in South Asia after the wire backing by INS Kattabomman in India and also the 19th tallest tower in the world.

The lotus-shaped tower is used for communication, observation, and other leisure facilities. The lotus symbolizes purity in the Sri Lankan culture and symbolizes the prosperous development of the country. The base of the tower is inspired by the lotus throne and is made of two reverse trapezoidal. It is designed to change the color of the tower in a smooth transition between pink and light yellow – an effect obtained by coating the glass. The main sources of income for the Lotus tower are tourism and antenna leasing. It will act as a radio and television broadcast antenna, with the proposed DVB-T2 support structure for 50 television services, 35 FM radio stations, and 20 telecommunication providers, and various tourist attractions.

There are four entrances to the tower and two of these are used as VIP entrances. A telecommunication museum and restaurant are located on the ground floor. The tower platform consists of six floors. The first floor of the platform houses a museum and two exhibition halls. The second floor is used for several conference halls that can seat up to 500 people. Restaurants, supermarkets, and food courts are located on the third floor. The 1,000 seat auditorium on the fourth floor and is also used as a ballroom. The fifth floor has luxury hotel rooms, a large ballroom, and the seventh floor is an observation gallery.
