The Poonagala Hills is a lowland mountain range in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. The green fields are full of beautiful flowers and colorful tea leaves. The area is famous for its four well-known views of the island. These viewpoints are Pilkinton Point, Millennium Point, Lipton Seat, and St. Catherine’s Seat.
According to locals, Punagala became a popular tourist destination globally a century and a half ago during the British tea plantation era. The hill station also has other interesting gifts such as Diyaluma Falls and Dambatenna Tea Estate nurtured by Poonagala Oya.
