The riverston peak in Sri Lanka can be reached by 30km from the Mathle town, when traveling on Mathale – Giradurukotte Road. The secretive windy road, with its sharp hairpin turns, offers one of the most beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. So that it is called the Mini Worlds End. The climate condition at Riverston is very similar to the climate at Horton Plains. The waterfalls are one of the main reason that makes Riverston so beautiful. There are two waterfalls called “Bambarakiri Ella” and “Sera Ella”. They are the most beautiful scenarios in riverston. Tourists can also sit on the rock seats near Sera Falls and enjoy the refreshing cold spray of misty droplets. The journey is about 2.5 kilometers and it takes a maximum of 1 to 2 hours. We recommend that you plan a trekking trip to the mist-clad Riverston peak via pittawala pathana, because it offers some of the greatest views of the central hills. The countryside along the trek has views of the terraced paddy fields, mountainous regions, and that of the beautiful green Central Highlands. The sheer 300 meters drops offer spectacular fog views of the Knuckles Range and the Thelgamuwa River Valley, near the top of Riverston. The peak of the mountain is also a great place in Sri Lanka to relax, with peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
