The Minister of Tourism Prasanna Ranatunga states that commercial and tourist flights will be operated through the Katunayake and Manttala airports from the 21st of this month.
He expressed these views at a media briefing held today (05th January).
He further said that around 3 million people in the country who are directly and indirectly dependent on the tourism industry are helpless in the face of the Covid 19 epidemic and that it will be opened to tourists as per the health guidelines prescribed for them.
