This building has a unique and Greco-Roman engineering and was acquired by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in 2011 to preserve our traditional heritage and unique archaeological value. It has become an essential place in the city. The gallery is maintained by the Bank’s Correspondence Division.

You can still see coins and money from ancient times. Ancient artifacts, paintings by notable and renowned artists can be accessed as well. You will be able to see the transaction framework and the beautiful format that shows how banks came into being. This presentation includes an image of a woman decorating coins in Kandy and coins from the Anuradhapura era. It basically depicts the business history of the old days. Ecology, Bankers, and Scientists come to this gallery for its development and research.

Intelligent people can purchase an Rs. 800 research paper that depicts and provides all the important data on the historical background of the country’s financial heritage. The work on the stairs looks very elegant, there is a 3D TV in the corridor, used to show a motion picture of how the money was displayed, and the gallery additionally presents a bistro outside.

You can visit the Historic place from 9 am to 6 pm and no fare. The building is magnificently finished with massive and carved entrances, Corinthian columns, glass windows, and round glass pane. It is an amazing place to invest energy and get information.
