Nuwara Eliya can be identified as a great tourist destination and starts with one of the waterfall clusters. It was definitely the heart of the tea country in the colonial era. This tropical landmark brings you the coolest but most pleasant climate in Sri Lanka. In addition, Lover’s leap Falls, located on Hawaeliya (Nuwara Eliya – Kandapola Road), is the nearest waterfall to Nuwara Eliya. It is a 30m high waterfall.
Unfortunately, some teens are visiting waterfalls after drinking. So it would be better to come to that place with a tour guide. However, on the way to Nuwara Eliya, you must visit this beautiful gift of Mother Nature. Be aware of leeches on the way to fall. This waterfall is located at a distance of 3 km from the city of Nuwara Eliya. Once you cross the winding roads up to the waterfall lane, you can take a three-wheeler that will take you halfway to the waterfall and from there, there is a slight gravel road to the waterfall. The distance is approximately 250 meters. Or you can walk down the aisle. It is about 400 meters up and you walk along a narrow tarred road and you can take a shortcut through a tea estate. This is a fairly steep climb of about 4oo meters.
